Anna Ella "Annemarie" Harper

Anna Ella Harper "Annemarie", known lovingly to most as "Oma," passed away peacefully into the loving arms of Jesus on February 21, 2024 at the age of 97. She was born in Munich, Germany on September 5, 1926, and was one of 8 children. She was a hero and saved the lives of many young girls, whom she was responsible for in Germany during WWIl. She immigrated to America when she was 33. She had a love for teaching, especially young children. Some of the greatest lessons she taught were patience, kindness, compassion, and how to love one another. Those who knew her would agree in saying that to know her is to know the true definition of love. She was passionate about animals and would remind everyone that even the smallest life matters. She helped to rescue many dogs and cats over her lifetime.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Charlene Rodriguez, granddaughter Michelle Rodriguez, baby great grandson Gatlin.

Those left here to honor and keep her memory alive are daughter Edele Gasteiger, son, Robert Harper, granddaughters, Stephanie Leary (Jason), Sasha Wallace (Justin), grandsons, Jason Harper (Jolene), Shawn Harper (Rachel), Carlos Rodriguez (Maja) and Johnathan Harper as well as great-grandchildren Christian, Sawyer, Joshua, Hudson, Alivia, Arianna, Emma, Lilianna, Brooklyn, Gianna, Kamila, Annalee.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
