Ellen Marie Cyr

Mrs. Ellen Marie Cyr was born in Hartford, Connecticut on July 26, 1958 to the late Mr. James and Mrs. Margaret Norton. She sadly departed this earthly life on Sunday, November 23, 2025 in the comfort of her home.

She was a selfless woman, she showed alot of her selflessness with raising her children, John Dieter and Shawn Dieter; she always made sure they had what they needed and a little more before making sure her necessities were met. Her favorite flowers were Lilacs and she loved the smell of lavender. Ellen always wanted to be around family and friends for any occasion, she enjoyed going for drives with no destination, enjoyed a night out dancing and singing karaoke with her friends.

Ellen was the definition of love and she loved hard. Everyone who were blessed to experience her will forever keep her warm love and memories in their hearts. She will be dearly missed and forever loved.

She has reunited in eternity with her parents, James and Margaret Norton.

She leaves her love to be chersihed by her husband, Wayne R. Cyr; five children, John Dieter, Shawn Dieter, Scott Cyr, Shannon Cyr and Jason Cyr; daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Dieter; 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She also leaves her love and memories with her older sister, Sharon Goodhue, older brother, John Norton and sister-in-law, Deborah Norton. 1 niece and 2 nephews as well as great-nieces and nephews and friends.

Her Memorial Service will be 3:00p on Friday, December 12, 2025 at Faith Funeral Home Chapel. 

In lieu of flowers please make donations to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Glioblastoma Cancer Research.
