Fred Oliver, Jr.

Mr. Fred Larry Oliver Jr. affectionately known as"JunBug“ and "Jr" was born in Ruby, South Carolina, on January 16, 1976 to Mrs. Diane Cook Oliver and Fred Larry Oliver, Sr. Larry was a beautiful soul on this earth that God gifted with many talents, he was a very handy man who could fix any job given to him. He worked as a skilled carpenter for many years. Jr was a humorous, patient, kind, loving man but he was also very quiet. He enjoyed being outside with nature and fishing and listening to country music and oldies was what he did during his relaxing times.

Fred Oliver, Jr. was kindhearted and a driven man who touched every life he came in contact with. He was a genuine friend and a giver. but most importantly he loved his family and they were top priority for him. His departure from this lifetime brings our family to tears but his spirit has moved on. God had a purpose and a plan for him. His memory will live in our hearts until we meet again.

He has left behind cherished and loving memories with his parents, Diane Cook Oliver and Fred L. Oliver, Sr.; children, Rusty Rigdon, Bryan Rigdon, stepchildren, Destiny and Jacob Loftis; grandchildren, Bryanna Rigdon, SJ Rigdon, Serah Rigdon and Kayci White; sisters, Cathy Griggs, and Tammy Gordon; his special companion, Samantha Hawthrone and a host of other loving relatives and friends.

His memorial service will be 2:00pm Sunday, March 10, 2024 at City Set On A Hill Ministry 1299 W. Franklin Blvd., Gastonia, NC 28052 Officiating Pastor, Jeff Mauney.
