Gregory L. Spotswood

Mr. Gregory L. Spotswood was born in Englewood, NJ on September 10, 1956 to the late Robert and Violet Spotswood. He transitioned to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 15, 2025 at the age of 68 in Rock Hill, SC.

Greg was affectionately referred to as “Spoty” by some of his close friends and fellow musicians.  He was also lovingly referred to as Uncle, Unc and Uncie-Dad. 

Along with his parents, other loved ones that have gone before him are his brother Godfrey “Joe” Spotswood and his nephew Jonathan Milton. 

He is survived by “his love” Lisa Churn; his sisters Kendra Spotswood and Pamela Spotswood Milton; his sister-in-laws Carmen Spotswood and Catrina Tucker; his brother-in-laws Derek Churn, Keith Churn and Mark Churn. 

Greg was blessed with beautiful nieces and nephews whom he loved spending time with whenever he got the chance - his niece Dana Schafer and her husband Steven, his nephew Derek Spotswood and his wife Aurora, his niece Kim Bright and her husband Jeremy, his nephew David Wilson, his niece Nicole “Nikki” Spotswood, his niece Alisha Milton, his nephew Leon Franklin and his wife Ceja.  His beloved grand nieces and nephews also held a very special place in his heart.  

Greg brought his family and friends lots of joy through his music and laughter.  He is missed dearly and will always be remembered with so much love.
