John Robert Parker

On August 16, 2025, our beloved father Reverend John R. Parker, 82 of Clover, South Carolina was called home to be with the Lord and his wife Johnnie M. Parker. 

John Parker lived a devoted life of Christ serving his community as a preacher and ministering to those in the states of North and South Carolina. He used his love of music to preach the word of God, traveling with his family through the years from church to church spreading his faith through song and prayer. His love for the community drove him to provide food and resources for those in need and anything else he could think of that they might require.

Joyous in his faith, he enjoyed time with this family and friends and frequent trips to the local fishing hole. When not fishing he could be found in his back shop engaged in his other past time of woodworking where he built furniture and other items still in use today.

John is survived by he and Johnnie’s children, Melissa Earle, GM Robert Parker and Sheena Parker, his three cherished grandchildren, Justin Parker, Samantha Henigar and Skylar Blackwood and 7 great grandchildren. His love and adoration of his family shone in all that he did, raising his children in the faith that he valued so dearly. 

He now entrusts the care of that family to the Lord knowing that he was a loyal servant and can now rest in peace with the promise of eternal life free from pain and sorrow, rejoicing in the presence of the Almighty.
