On February 13, 2025, our beloved mother, Johnnie M. Parker, 82 of Clover, South Carolina was called home to be with the Lord. She lived a life rooted in faith, devoted to Christ, and guided by the teachings of the Holy Bible. She was a woman of unwavering belief, whose love for the Lord shone through every aspect of her life and found joy in prayer, strength in scripture, and peace in the promises of eternal life.
Johnnie is survived by her husband of 61 years, Reverend John R. Parker; their children, Melissa Earle, GM Robert Parker and Sheena Parker; her three cherished grandchildren, Justin Parker, Samantha Henigar and Skylar Blackwood and seven great grandchildren. As a mother, she raised her children in the ways of the Lord, teaching them to love, to serve, and to trust in Him always.
She had a long career in the textiles industry followed by her involvement with the church. She expressed her creativity through her love of art and music which she shared with her beloved husband. Arts and crafts, especially sewing gave her great joy in between canning her vegetables from her garden while listening to her favorite Christian group The Chuck Wagon Gang.
She is also remembered with love by her dear friends from her church community and the morning breakfast group at Hardees which she enjoyed seeing immensely. While we grieve her passing, we find solace in the hope of Christ’s resurrection and the assurance that we will one day be reunited in God’s eternal kingdom.
She now rests in the arms of the Savior, free from pain and sorrow, rejoicing in the presence of the Almighty.
A celebration of her life will be held at a later date. To send cards or flowers directly to the family, 1749 Boston Trail, Clover, South Carolina, 29710 or plant a tree in memory of Johnnie M. Parker, please visit our floral store.
