Johnny Allison Obituary

Johnny Franklin "Johnny Fox" Allison, a proud veteran of the United States Army, was born in Clover, SC, on March 19, 1946, to the late Waddell Ralph Allison and Georgia Elois McDaniel Allison. He was the third child of six siblings. Johnny passed peacefully into his eternal rest on Saturday, December 16, 2023.

Johnny was educated in the Clover School System. He graduated from Roosevelt High School and also attended Community College. Johnny served in the U.S. Army. He later joined the U.S. Air Force where he retired as a Technical Sergeant (TSgt) with over twenty years of service. During his time of active duty, he received several military medals. In addition to serving in the military, Johnny was employed by IBM from where he retired. After retirement, he was employed by Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools as a Security Associate.

Johnny loved photography and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He was a fun-loving person. He loved attending music festivals and enjoyed listening to jazz music. Furthermore, he loved to travel and watch movies, especially Westerns. Johnny's memories will live in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Johnson Allison, and his brother Norman Waddell Allison.

He is survived by two daughters: Elwanda Wright of Lowell, NC, Regina Moore of Clover, SC; one step-daughter, Kimberly Adams (Samuel) of Charlotte, NC; three sisters, Betty Ann Allison Gibson (Thomas) of Charlotte, NC, Bernice Faye Allison of Ellenwood, GA, Brenda Kaye Allison of Baltimore, MD; one brother, Warren Lewis Allison of Baltimore, MD; a sister-in-law, Loise Allison; one grandchild, Alayhdrian Wright; three step-grandchildren, Wendi Roseboro (Charles), Justin Adams, Jalah Adams; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

His Celebration of Life will be 12p at Faith Funeral Services Chapel on January 3, 2024. Visitation will begin at 11a before the service. Burial will follow to Crown Memorial Park in Pineville, NC.
