Tammy Ellen Norman Cook, 59, of Fernandina Beach, FL, passed away unexpectedly April 8, 2024, in York, SC. She was born on August 11, 1964 in Charlotte, NC., daughter of the late Luke and Nell Norman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving brother Billy Norman. Fernandina Beach was Tammy’s home from a young age, and this is where she developed a love for the sun, water and neon colors. She worked at Amelia Island Plantation in the security department. She loved her job and was very dedicated. Tammy never met a stranger and had many friends. She was loved by all that knew her and was the sunshine of the Norman family. She had a love for animals, especially her two Pomeranians. Tammy loved pink flamingos, the movie Dirty Dancing, and the annual Shrimp Boat Festival. Tammy was full of life. Those left to cherish her memory include her brothers Gary Norman and Toby Norman, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members. Celebration of Life Services will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at Oxley-Heard Funeral Directors at 1305 Atlantic Ave. Fernandina Beach, Florida 32034. The family will receive friends starting at 9:30 and the service will start at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, please help us honor the memory of Tammy’s life by wearing vibrant or neon colors for her Celebration of Life service.
